PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY CONSULTATIONS

Have you been looking for objective, expert evaluations and/or consultations to help with certain clients who present challenging problems in the areas of hand, visual, eye-hand coordination, visual-perceptual-motor, or feeding skills?
If you have access to a video camera, your questions can be answered and new treatment ideas can be suggested through telephone, fax, and/or e-mail consultation anywhere in the United States or overseas. Conference calls including several team members are also possible. Users of this service have included:
* therapists re-entering the field or those in rural areas who work alone
* school therapists who consult with teachers for classroom management
* parents of children with handicaps whose therapists seek new ideas for home programs
* workshop participants who want follow-up assistance in using the Erhardt Developmental Prehension Assessment (EDPA), the Erhardt Developmental Vision Assessment (EDVA), the Erhardt Hand Preference Assessment (EHPA), or the Visual-Perceptual-Motor Activities Collection.
Suggested procedures:
1. initial telephone or e-mail contact to briefly describe the client and functional problems (no charge)
2. copies of pertinent records, video segments, and list of questions mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to the consultant.
3. scheduling of telephone consultations or agreement for written reports
Costs include telephone charges and hourly consultation fee for:
* reading of client records
* observation and analysis of videos
* telephone consultations
* e-mail or hard copy reports.
